Dawn & Ryan - Married

Holy trouts, she was a hot one that day - a balmy 36 degrees if I remember correctly.  It was a good thing Trout lake was ice cold, it was often the only relief from the mountainous heat wave. (scroll down and see for yourself).  I've never been to a wedding where there is a 2-3 hour period in between the photos and festivities to just cool off and rest. It was very much needed.

Dawn & Ryan's Trout Lake wedding was probably one of the most memorable experiences of my wedding season last year.  Not only were they so easy and relaxed to work with, but there was a very laid back approach to the whole event which made things very comfortable for everyone, especially myself where I knew next to no one there. There is nothing quite like a destination wedding though, especially one out in the middle of nowhere.  There was no cell service for 2 days, I was completely unplugged, (that in itself felt absolutely liberating), I got to camp right on the edge of the lake, I got to be part of the party, and most importantly of all, I got to do what I do best - document it all.

The question still stands to you Dawn & Ryan - How about an anniversary party on the lake so we can do it all over again this year?

Kait & Ash - Married

2015 seemed to be the year where I worked with alot of fire-fighters. Engagements, newborn announcements, and weddings - all across the board.  This here, is Ashton, and he is about to take his bride, Kaitlin's, hand in marriage on a beautiful late summer afternoon at the Quaaout Lodge in Little Shuswap, BC.

Ash & Kait were so much fun to work with because their sense of humor was alot like mine.  They were goofy, they were happy, they were tearful, and even a bit tipsy at one point or another.  The most important thing was that they were in love and this day was all about capturing those moments between them as they celebrated it.

My special thanks to my second shooter, Selina for capturing those extra moments I couldn't split myself in half for.  Your help is always appreciated and you are breath of fresh air to the craziness of a photographer's task on days like these :)

Shawn & Scott - Engaged

For a guy who is a volunteer fire-fighter, Scott sure isn't putting any fires out in these images with his fiancée - if anything they are starting one fire after another everywhere they stand, (or sit), in this photo set.  They're hot!!!  I can only imagine how hot they're gonna be, (or for that matter how hot it will be outside) for their mid-summer wedding.  Good thing there will be other Firefighters there just in case.

Just another fall day in paradise, at the beach.  Please enjoy these.  My thanks to the happy couple for letting me share these moments with you.

Kyana & Kyle - Engaged

The energy and love between these two could power a Harley devoid of fuel.  Kyana & Kyle recently moved to the Shuswap and when they contacted me to photograph them, I wanted to really leave them with the impression that they came to the right place to settle down.

The day of the session, we had amazing sunlight so I skipped out of work early to get to their house before we lost the sun.  I got there about 20 minutes before the sun disappeared behind the mountain and literally, the first shots of this set are taken within 5 minutes of us meeting each other.  That's how I have to roll sometimes.  In the end, we had a great time, got some amazingly beautiful images and now I look forward to photographing their hog-wild wedding later this summer.

These images should get your motor running!
