Neeley & Mike - Married

Back when I first met Neeley & Mike at a local coffee shop, it was hot summer day so we grabbed a frozen yogurt to cool off and we started to get to know one another. They also introduced me to their beautifully adorable daughter, who with an incredible amount of patience for a toddler , proceeded to watch me rather closely and carefully as I spoke with her parents about the plans for their big day.

A couple of months passed by and we would meet again for their engagement/family photos. Mike’s hair looking as perfect as ever, Neeley, a permanent sparkle in her eye, and their daughter even cuter than the last time I saw her, (if that was even possible)! We captured some truly amazing candid images and shared some apples in the orchard all while getting to know one and other just a little bit more.

Finally, a year later, their wedding day was upon us and after working with and getting to know Mike & Neeley prior to this pinnacle moment, I was no longer just a hired photographer, I was also a friend. Neeley looked ravishing in her elegant dress while a dapper & sharp Mike waited outside in anticipation to see her. Once they finally saw one another for the first time on their wedding day, the joy in Mike’s eyes, to see his lady, the emotion, I had to keep the camera over my face for longer than I was shooting, *sniff* it was a truly touching moment.

I saw that same look in his eyes a couple of hours later as she would walk down the aisle to meet him and finally take his hand. It was incredibly endearing, it once again left my eyes a tad bit moist. It truly was a special moment and I’m a sucker for getting choked up not when the bride gets emotional, but when the groom does.

This day is one I won’t soon forget because it wasn’t just Mike & Neeley that made it so memorable. I don’t believe I have worked with a wedding party quite as dedicated to the party as they were. I even left this wedding with a new nickname, (of which I actually couldn’t share here, even if I wanted to - this blog is PG)

To say that Predator Ridge Golf Resort and Lone Pine Ranch were incredibly gracious & prepared hosts, that would be a vast understatement. From the staff at the ridge who were incredibly helpful in getting us setup for the photos we needed, to the crew at the ranch who truly put on an amazing reception at their tremendously eye popping rustic venue - I would highly recommend these vendors to anyone looking for that perfect place to have the most memorable party of your life.

Rebecca & Tyler - Married

Last summer I had the distinct pleasure to meet Rebecca and Tyler, albeit briefly, as we were only together for a very short time.  Though our time together was short, we took full advantage of our time we had and we ended up capturing some of my absolute favorite images from last wedding season.

All of the planning for the wedding went through the bride's sister so I never actually met the bride and groom until the day of the wedding.  It didn't take long for all of us to warm up once we started to get to know one another. By the end, they wanted me to stay and celebrate with them, but alas this family man had kids waiting for him to party with them before bedtime.

This event was held at the glorious Prestige Hotel by the harborfront in downtown Salmon Arm.  The backdrop was picture perfect, overlooking the beautiful shuswap and its encircling mountains.  The Prestige hotel is second to none in Salmon Arm for hosting weddings, as well as it's visitors from across the world.

Once again, I had the help of my beautiful partner in crime to capture this wedding - my thanks to you forever and always for joining me on these adventures, Candace Crystal <3

Kelsee & Ryan - Married

It's that time of year where I catch up on my blog updates to share with you some of the highlights I have been up to the past year.  What better way to start off than to showcase Kelsee Ryan's beautiful September wedding in Salmon Arm?

My special thanks to my lovely lady, Candace, for being my studious second shooter.  It is an absolute pleasure to share in the same passions as my partner and I couldn't ask for anything more than that <3

Kelsee & Ryan are absolutely wonderful people and are simply perfect for one another.  Their shared passions for Lord of the rings, Cats, and virtually anything else that they can share together is ridiculously cute.  But this day, the day of their wedding and the joining of their families, was a truly special day to be a part of.  To witness their love and devotion for one another is truly inspiring and something that reminds me why I love doing this work so much.

Shawn & Scott - Married

Wow, has it ever been a long while since I've posted a blog.  I'd like to tell you that I have just gotten back from the future on an adventure with Marty & Doc, but the truth is alot less exciting... I've simply been a busy shooter! While my online presence has suffered a bit as a result, being busy is a most welcome and humble blessing.

Thanks to my good friend and talented 2nd shooter, Brett Alton to aide me with this wedding, there was no shortage of moments captured, and amazing ones at that.  With a venue such as Rustic weddings located in Sorrento, British Columbia, Canada, you're assured a beautiful back-drop to get married at.

As photographers, we tell a story with our pictures. Shawn & Scott's story is one of love, family, friends, and an abundance of everything in between - from the laughter and the tears, down to the littlest details.  I hope you enjoy their celebration and join me in wishing them well on their lifetime of an adventure together.
Until next time,
